Vaginal Discharge and Itching
during Pregnancy

Some women experience a mild-smelling discharge, which is normal in pregnancy. Use sanitary napkins, but do not douche without speaking with your doctor. If the discharge is red or brown – call your doctor immediately.

If you have itching and soreness, this may be a developing infection, and will need your docotor or midwifes attention. Yeast infections are sometimes common in pregnancy and usually disappear without treatment after the baby is born.
