You're in your second trimester, congratulations! Your morning sickness (if you had it) is most likely gone, and you've got a while before that baby gets big enough to be uncomfortable. Enjoy the "sweet spot" by following these tips:
_____ Keep up with your physician appointments.
_____ Begin doing Kegel exercises to strengthen your pelvic muscles.
_____ Read another good book on pregnancy.
_____ Go shopping! Look for maternity clothes, comfortable shoes, baby furnishings and clothing.
_____ Register for your baby shower.
_____ Keep up with your prenatal vitamins.
_____ Investigate classes on childbirth education, breastfeeding, and infant CPR.
_____ If you work outside the home, become aware of your company's policies on maternity leave.
_____ Clean the house thoroughly, including closets.
_____ Buy or update your fire extinguisher.
_____ Install and test smoke and carbon monoxide testers.
_____ Put non-slip pads under area rugs and on steps, preparing for late pregnancy and for when you are carrying your baby around the house.
_____ Consider making a plaster cast of your pregnant belly.
_____ Keep records of first movements, waist measurements, weight gain, and other milestones.
_____ Go out to dinner, go to the movies or a concert.
_____ Take a trip now before it is too uncomfortable to fly or drive.
_____ Visit the dentist for a complete check up.
_____ Keep exercising, and stay on a healthy diet.
_____ Parents of multiples are encouraged to enroll in a class to help prepare for twins, triplets, or more.
