Is it okay to do step aerobics if I am trying to get pregnant?
For the most part, while you are trying to conceive you can continue any physical activity you did prior to trying to conceive. Step aerobics are a fairly low impact type of exercise that won't overstress your body while you are trying to get pregnant.
During pregnacy, you should, of course, get clearance from your doctor before using any exercise regimen. In general, step aerobics should be fine, again becaus the low-impact movements are unlikely to cause you any difficulties. You may find that, as your belly grows and your center of gravity changes, your balance will be thrown off and you may wish to switch to some other form of exercise. Also, once you are no longer able to see your feet it may be wise to adjust the height of your step to avoid falling.
While trying to conceive or while you are pregnant, make sure that the pace of the particular class isn't too fast and that there aren't any quick directional changes in the choreography. Both of those factors can increase your risk of injury.
