See how well your guests can remember the nursery rhymes from their childhood or their own young children. You may want to get a book before the shower to refresh your memory, and then give it as a gift to the expectant mom.
Have the guests sit in a circle. The first person must name a nursery rhyme by its correct title while keeping a beat of clap, clap, snap, snap. On the first snap, snap beat the first person may say, “Little Boy Blue” then by the next snap, snap beat the next person in the circle has to name one such as “Hey Diddle, Diddle.” If you miss the beat or repeat someone else’s answer you are out, and the game continues. The last person in, wins.

So you are planning a baby shower for a mom to be who is already a mom. These types of showers can be a bit different from the traditional baby showers you may be used to. They can be a lot of fun, too. Remember this is a new baby and he or she deserves a baby shower in their name just as their siblings had.
A mom who has other children may already have the basic essentials that a new baby requires. However, depending on how old her other children are, she may need to update the items she already owns. Every mom needs an abundance of diapers, a new stroller, or new baby clothing items. If the other child she has is a girl and she is having a boy, then new baby clothes are definitely going to be needed. Baby shower presents may also focus on the mom more at a second time around baby shower. Buy this mom to be lotions and soaps for that personal time that will soon be so deserving of. Give her gift certificates for new clothes once her bundle of joy is born or a coupon for free babysitting when she is ready to have a night out away from her new little one. This type of baby shower will make mom feel like this shower includes her more. Think of what the mom to be likes so that you are celebrating her in the best way you can and go from there.
Baby shower games may not be a popular choice for a second time around baby shower. It really depends on the mom to be. You never know. She may be all about friendly baby games with prizes awarded. Maybe the mom to be still needs help naming her bundle of joy. Baby showers, for whatever number child it is, will help mom to decide this crucial key to motherhood. This shower is a time for a more intimate gathering with friends and a greater interest in the mom to be. Children also become more involved in the second and possibly third time around baby showers. Additional children of the mom to be and her party guests now become part of the guest list. Be sure to include these little party guests when it comes to the food and fun during the party.
A baby shower is a great time for a family and friend get together. Whether it is a first, second, or even third child make the mom to be feel special and ensure that she has a good time. Every child deserves their time to party before being born, so go ahead and have that anticipated baby shower.

At baby showers, guests are used to playing a number of games. Sometimes the game may deal with a pinata while other times it is a trivia-based game. The following paragraphs will describe how to play a baby shower game which combines both of these items.
How to Play pinata Trivia
The hostess will need to do a little bit of shopping and research prior to the baby shower in order to get this game together. For the shopping, she will need to pick up a pinata (preferably one which fits the theme of the baby shower) and some prizes to place within the pinata (any type of small yet appropriate prize will do such as chocolates, key chains, etc.). Next, the hostess will need to ask some questions of the mom-to-be regarding herself and the future arrival such as where she was born, where she is having the baby, any names which are chosen, etc. With this information, the hostess will make up a quiz of about 15-20 questions to ask the guests at the shower. Whoever is the first person to correctly answer the question gets to get up and hit the pinata. This continues until the pinata is broken and the prizes spill out. Those individuals who answered the questions correctly will get to collect the pinata prizes once it is broken. This is fun both during the question and answer portion and at the end when the guests are scrambling to collect the pinata prizes. It is almost guaranteed that the room will be filled with laughter throughout this game.

An appropriate and fun game for kids, teens and adults, the object of this game is to get the park bench to yourself. If you can get the other occupant to leave, you get to move over and someone has to try to get you to leave.
To play you must use your imagination. Set up two chairs together to represent a single park bench. Someone comes and sits next to you. Would someone leave the bench if you started tickling him? You could try to kiss them, bore them to death with senseless chatter, or maybe start singing loudly. If you get them to leave, you win. Then it’s your turn to be persuaded into leaving the “park bench.”

There are many games which a hostess can choose from when looking for the perfect one to play at a baby shower. If the hostess is interested in having a game which is a little bit unique yet still easy and fun then Muppet Scramble may be the perfect choice.
How to Play Muppet Scramble
Prior to the baby shower the hostess will need to compile a seek and find game which has about 10-15 words in it that are associated with the Muppets. Once the hostess has created the seek and find, she should then make the appropriate amount of copies in order to accommodate all of her guests at the baby shower, including the guest of honor. On the day of the shower, the hostess just has to be sure that she has enough pens or pencils for everyone and can hand out the seek and find sheets with pens/pencils once it is time for the games to get under way. The guests and guest of honor will then have approximately 5-10 minutes to find as many hidden words as they can. The guest who finishes the puzzle first wins a prize.
Great Prizes to Award to the Muppet Scramble Winners
Depending on what the hostess wishes to do, she can either choose to hand out prizes for the winners which have a Muppet theme or can hand out non-Muppet oriented prizes. If she wants to award prizes which stick with the theme of the game, a great gift to go with would be a Muppet Christmas tree ornament, if it is around the holidays. If not, or if the hostess wishes to have a neutral prize, a nice bottle of wine or beautiful candle holder could be two options.
Muppet Scramble is a great game to play and the theme is one which will most likely bring back some nice memories of these fun TV characters for the guests who get to play it.
