Memory games almost always lead to laughter, and this one is no exception. The guests will have to stretch their imaginations as they try to come up with unique baby items for each letter of the alphabet.
To play, have everyone in a circle. The first person names a baby item or something pertaining to babies and small children that begin with the letter A. The next person says the A-word and then adds a baby item starting with the letter B and so on. If you mess up, you are out. And the game resumes. The last person remaining or the first person to name the items A through Z without a mistake wins. An example is: A is for all night feedings, B is for bib, C is for cradle, D is for diaper, E is for earaches, etc.

Many women lose their identity when they are pregnant because they are so focused on their pregnancy, their other children, or even their husband that they forget about themselves. Playing this game, memories of Mommy, will make her smile and remind her of good times before she had children, and perhaps even before she was married. Memories of Mommy is a good game for all types of baby showers, all women or a mixture of both men and women.
Make Her Smile
Memories of Mommy is a simple game that requires that each party guest write one of their favorite memories of the expectant mother on a piece of paper. People will then give the piece of paper to the expectant mother so she can read them aloud to all of her baby shower guests. Shower guests will watch on as the mother to be reads about memories that she may or may not recall, things that will make her laugh and cry, and things that will be long forgotten until now.
Make It A Game
Memories of Mommy can be made a game if each person writes their memory anonymously. Then, the mother will have to read the memory and decide who wrote it. It can be fun, especially if the mother has experienced some things with more than one party guest. The more obscure the memory, the more fun the game will be. After the game is played all of the memories can be combined to create a memory book for Mommy whenever she needs to get in touch with herself.

Whether the mom-to-be is having a girl or boy a great baby shower theme is simply Aquarium! There is a lot you can do with an aquarium theme and not only will it be fun and easy, but it will be beautiful as well. If you are hosting the baby shower in your home and happen to have an aquarium this will only help your theme. If you don’t have an aquarium, don’t worry, you can still carry out the theme!
Aquarium Decorations
If you have an aquarium then making it the focus of the room will certainly help you carry out the aquarium baby shower theme. If you don’t have one the following idea can still be used alone.
Buy anywhere from 10-20 small fish bows, or one for each guest. Then, buy either BETA fish, or gold fish, guppies or whatever you like or matches your budget. Don’t forget to buy some fish food and rocks to place in the bottle of the bowls. These can be used for each table or else can be grouped together in an elevated tower to look like a big fish aquarium. Then, as each guests leaves, give them a small fish bowl as a baby shower favor.
Have a cake decorated like an aquarium with fish, plants, and the like to help carry out the aquarium theme. Then, have Pepperidge Farm Goldfish, “Fish Food,” gummy fish, and the like to compete the refreshments. A blue punch with plastic fish floating in it is also a great idea.
Aquarium Games
A great Aquarium baby shower game is Go Fish! There are Go Fish games you can buy or else you can create your own. If you create your own simply hang a sheet decorated with various paper fish so it is high enough that you can hide behind it. You will also need a couple cane poles with clothes pens connected to the fishing line. Then, have several prizes that you attach to the clothespin as people are “fishing.” Each individual will win a prize this way and you can attach stuffed fish, fish designed home goods, and other items that go along with your theme.

Coed Baby Shower Game: So, You Wanna Guess Her Girth?
Almost everyone who has been to a few baby showers has played “Guess Her Girth” to the horror of just about every pregnant woman. This is a game that traditionally requires each person to tear off pieces of toilet paper the size of the pregnant woman’s mid section. While this may be funny to some, it usually makes the expectant mother feel a bit bad about her ever-expanding waistline, so this game is the perfect retaliation! This game can be played with men and women, and with as many players as you want, the more the better!
The Game
This game is a bit different, because each shower guest will be given a long measuring tape, preferably the plastic or paper variety associated with sewing. Each guest will then have to mark off the inch marker that they believe would correspond with the expectant mothers midsection. Each person will then have to tell the group which inch marker they chose.
The Catch
The expectant mother doesn’t have to measure her midsection with this game! Instead, she gets to tell each of her guests that they are all wrong, instead they have to write a compliment or series of compliments on the back of the measuring tape for the expectant mother that measures the length that they selected. These can be funny, serious, even moving, so long as they are flattering to the expectant mother. Each of these measuring tapes can then be read out loud by the expectant mother to give her a confidence boost, even if she is as big as a house!
