Safari Baby Shower Theme - Where the Wild Things Are
Are you starting to plan a baby shower need of unique idea? Want something a little different and non-traditional? How about trying a safari themed baby shower? Make it baby friendly by using the childhood book Where the Wild Things Are as the theme name.
Now it’s time transform your baby shower site into an African safari. Mosquito nets, binoculars and safari hats make great table decorations. To make “nametags†for your guests, write their name on an index card and attach it to a safari hat with a safety pin. Copy pictures of wild animals and maps of Africa and use to decorate walls. Buy a roll of brown paper from your local hardware and craft store and wrap it around floor lamps and outdoor posts to resemble tree trunks. You can also take strips of the same brown paper and twist them into what looks like tree branches. Attach them to the “tree trunks†by using clear tape. Cut out leaf shapes from green paper and staple them to the “tree branches.†To make your safari theme seem even more realistic, take a large cardboard box and cut the sides out to look like a Jeep. Use clear cellophane for a window shield and spray paint empty paper towel holders for the roll bars. Let your imagination run wild putting together the rest of the Jeep!
What game could be more fitting for this theme than a scavenger hunt? Make a list of the scavenger hunt items before the shower and then divide guests into two teams. Each member of the team that completes the scavenger hunt first wins an animal print notepad, pen or picture frame. Don’t forget to serve Zebra Cakes and trail mix at your shower!
